Leadership With Class- I
Though there is still a philosophy at work that
“leaders are born and not made,” there is also evidence that
suggests that, with desire, people can choose to learn the
leadership skills so important to influencing and guiding other’s
behavior.
Over the years, most of Susan’s consulting
projects have had to address the need for positive leadership.
Whether working with executives, healthcare challenges,
union/management issues, communities reaching out for growth, or
student leaders, the strategies within this program make a
significant difference in those who apply them.
This approach is grounded in respect for
relationships and in a belief that with respectful relationships
comes trust. In trusting one another, individuals can work together
to accomplish BIG goals. "Susan Wilson was extremely beneficial for the Iowa PTA to work
with. Her collaborative effort, engaging dialogue with the audience,
and insightful stories inspired PTA members to become more
influential leaders. One audience member that day described her
presentation as 'gripping, but in a way that all parents can relate
– intense, but you’re not afraid to interact with her.' The Iowa PTA
considered it a pleasure to be able to work with Susan." -- Kim
Wagner, Executive Director, Iowa PTA

Goal Setting by Susan B. Wilson
"Susan Wilson was extremely beneficial for the Iowa
PTA to work with. Her collaborative effort, engaging dialogue with
the audience and insightful stories inspired PTA members to become
more influential leaders. Susan spelled out her message... with
brilliant examples and audience interaction. Susan has the ability
to be both personal and professional in her presentation. One
audience member that day described her presentation as “gripping,
but in a way that all parents can relate – intense, but you’re not
afraid to interact with her.” The Iowa PTA considered it a pleasure
to be able to work with Susan."
--Executive Director, Iowa PTA “The program was
awesome, just awesome! I can't say enough good about it.”
“When the time came for affirmation notes to be passed, several
participants wrote notes to ME thanking me for hosting the program!”
-- Director, Teen Center "Leadership with Class" was a perfect
match for our students. Susan was able to provide students with
quick snapshots of key elements of leadership that were relevant to
their college lives. Many of the students left the session feeling
that they had a valuable role to play, and their excitement was
contagious. Susan Wilson is an excellent facilitator, and the
students readily responded to her knowledge and fun presentation
style. " --Executive Dean,
